People’s kitchen, Man Bites Dog & the proliferation of egocrats

It’s all the usual events at the Factory, including work & maintenance on the building Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 12-5. We’ve almost reached the end of our scheduled film program, so send suggestions of films you’d like to see on the big screen.

TUESDAY March 15 is, as always, people’s kitchen with food from 8pm & possibly a film afterwards. Help welcome cooking from 4pm.

WEDNESDAY March 16 we have a film & reading group & board games.

6pm – Factory anarchist reading group on on the pamphlet “10 theses on the proliferation of egocrats”, by Fredy Perlman. There are copies in the infoshop. A link to an on-line version & info about future reading groups can be found here.

7pm – Man Bites Dog (1992)

A camera crew follows a serial killer around as he exercises his craft. He expounds on art, music, nature, society and life as he off mailmen, pensioners and random others. Slowly he begins involving the camera crew in his activities and they begin wondering if what they’re doing is such a good idea.

8pm – Boardgames in the function room.
